With over 25 years of legal practice, Moira brings a wealth of experience to dispute resolution. She began her career on Bay Street at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, working in commercial finance and aircraft finance. She served as in-house corporate counsel for American Water Canada Corp., a $500MM North American water and wastewater treatment company, and later as Director of Legal Affairs for Wolseley Canada Inc., a £16B global distributor.
In 2008, she established Wallace Law Professional Corporation, where she has provided corporate/commercial, contract, employment, real estate, and wills and estates legal services to individuals, as well as small and medium-sized businesses. Moira brings a strong understanding of how legal issues impact real-world outcomes both financially and emotionally.
Mediation & Dispute Resolution
Moira holds a diploma in Family Mediation and Mediation/Conflict Resolution from Herzing College, complementing her legal expertise with specialized training in dispute resolution. Her approach to mediation is grounded in helping parties move forward constructively, with solutions that are realistic, balanced, and tailored to their unique circumstances.
At STEP Mediation, Moira guides clients through conflict with a clear and supportive process based on Strategy, for Tomorrow, External perspective, and Proactive solutions. Her practice focuses on dispute resolution for corporate and personal clients in the areas of employment, labour and human rights, contract disputes, corporate finance, estate planning and settlement, real estate, and the legal components of family law including division of assets, equalization, and support obligations.
